Answer:

x = -2/3 , 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Factor 2  out of   6 x^ 2 − 8 x − 8

2 ( 3 x^ 2 − 4 x − 4 ) = 0

Factor

2 ( 3 x + 2 ) ( x − 2 ) = 0

Set  3 x + 2  equal to  0  and solve for  x

x = -2/3

Set  x − 2  equal to  0  and solve for  x

x = 2

The final solution is all the values that make 2 ( 3 x + 2 ) ( x − 2 ) = 0

x = -2/3 , 2

Hope this can help you
