The movement of water through a semi-permeable membrane with different salt concentrations depends on the amount of water and salt concentration in the cell. If the cell has more salt concentration so no more salt moves inside the cell but moves outside the cell while on the other hand, if the cell has low amount of salt than the outer environment then the salt moves inside the cell until its concentration are equal.
