5x+7=2x+10 what’s the answer

the answer is x=1 because 
5x+7=2x=10 u minus the 7 on both sides to get
5x=2x+3 and then u minus the 2 from each side
3x=3 and then u divide the 3 from 3x on both sides to get
x=1
